OUR FAB STORY
Lets face it. Getting your hair done is not fun. It is a task you want but dread. Start to right before finish, it is rare that you get a luxury experience. From booking with those mean IG stylist, that has all the rules and capital letters. To trips to the beauty supply store, wishing you don’t see anyone in your bonnet or baseball cap.
Oh and it doesn’t stop there. Now your sitting in a salon for hours while your overbooked beautician tends to someone else’s head. Have you ever experienced pulling up to a braider house, she’s the best, but she stopping, texting, talking on the phone? You love your results but your drained energetically before you leave.
We have all been there. “Getting your hair did” is an integral part of our culture. There is so much history there, so much memories, so much joy but also so much pain, literally. Black women has elevated in many areas in our life. Embracing luxury on many levels, We are normalizing being “soft”, all at one proclaiming the soft girl era.
We know how luxury feels we be are at the counter purchasing our high-end bags. We expect it when bringing our luxury vehicles to be maintained. We even demand it while eating out at our favorite 5 Star Michelin Rated restaurants. However, the one thing that we have not seen a change in is in the way we do our hair.
